After his decade of crisscrossing the island, his knowledge of the land and the people who live here runs deep, from Salt Spring's volcanic bedrock to its Indigenous stewardship and a secret whale skeleton. But, very humbly, Jason resists calling himself a Salt Spring expert. "I'm constantly surprised," he says. "There's always someone new doing something remarkable here." That curiosity is exactly what keeps the Tour Salt Spring experience alive and unlike anything else on the island.

Lately, Jason has begun expanding his offerings beyond his day tours. More multi-day immersive experiences are in the works, including curated journeys with guest speakers, private farm dinners, live music, and focused themes like local food, ecology, Indigenous culture, or small-scale agriculture.

To travel with Jason is to see the island through a different lens: as a place of layered stories, world-class craftspeople, and a community rich with lore. Jason remains its calm, quiet cultural shepherd, with his hands on the wheel, eyes on the land, and heart tuned into its people.
