SOCS: A meeting place for creativity and inclusion

Southern Gulf Islands, Salt Spring Island, Galiano island, Mayne Island, Pender, Saturna,

Salt Spring Island has long been home to artists, artisans and performers of every stripe. As the artistic community and its resources have evolved over time, so too has the understanding of the importance of the arts to the social, cultural and economic health of the island. The Salt Spring Arts Summer Outdoor Concert Series (SOCS) is a beautiful example of this, providing a collection of free events accessible to the community and island visitors.

The launch of SOCS has been a highlight of Salt Spring Arts’ programming over the past few years. The performances take place every summer in the heart of Ganges (Syowt) in Centennial Park. 2025 mark the series’ sixth year, bringing together locals and tourists to create an inclusive, creative and energetic atmosphere. Picnic blankets and smiling faces line the green that overlooks the stage with Ganges Harbour sparkling in the background.

This year, Salt Spring Arts is once again proud to present the annual Summer Outdoor Concert Series (SOCS) — a collection of weekly concerts in the heart of Ganges (SYOW̱T) on Salt Spring Island (ĆUÁN). Thursday evenings at 6pm, bring a blanket, a picnic and your dancing shoes to Centennial Park to enjoy exceptional live music in the beautiful setting of Ganges Harbour. Featuring touring headliners and local opening acts, SOCS invites our community to gather together in celebration of the season and in support of live music on Salt Spring Island!

Each event is unique and powerful to those in attendance, often ending with friends and strangers united together in lively dance. The events are an opportunity for travellers to experience the island’s vibrant community, and to support local shops and restaurants lining the streets of Ganges. Fun for families and friends old and new, the Summer Outdoor Concert Series present the perfect annual events to soak up the season.

This year’s lineup of the Salt Spring Summer Outdoor Concert Series include:
