Grounded in the understanding that human beings are active participants in—not separate from—the natural world, The Healing Place works at the intersection of land-based education, food systems, ecological stewardship, Indigenous knowledge, traditional skills, and the arts. Their work is practical and hands-on, encompassing everything from food production, hunting, and hide processing to drum-making, land restoration, community workshops, and research. Rather than treating food, culture, ecology, and human well-being as isolated disciplines, The Healing Place focuses on the deep relationships between them.
