Buzzy’s Luncheonette
A regular crowd-pleaser, Buzzy’s boasts the best smoked meat west of Montreal. It’s a small shop that’s big on personality where the meat is smoked in house and the brisket is cured for 8+ days. Try The Hungry Jew or The Rabinowitz, but know that you won’t be disappointed by anythihng.
Salt Spring Inn
The only heritage inn on Salt Spring, the local watering hole known affectionately as “the Inn” began operating more than 85 years ago. Since then, it’s been the Log Cabin, The Ship’s Inn, The Ship’s Anchor Inn, Rita’s Inn, Tide’s Inn and the Anise Inn and Restaurant. Nowadays, the Salt Spring Inn is a lively place with a consistent quality.
Cassette Cafe + Dive Bar
This cozy spot is perfect for grabbing a delicious coffee, enjoying a casual meal on the patio, or unwinding with a drink. With its welcoming atmosphere, vintage vibes, and a menu full of favourites, Cassette is a must-visit for both locals and visitors.

A Galiano Island institution, the Hummingbird Pub has all your pub favourites in a rural yet lively setting. Grab the pub bus if you can, and don’t forget your singing voice.
