The Mayne Island Conservancy is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural ecosystems of Mayne Island. Working with landowners, volunteers, local schools, and partner organizations, the Conservancy leads hands-on stewardship projects such as removing invasive plants, restoring native habitats, and supporting the island’s sensitive coastal Douglas-fir and Garry oak ecosystems. Through its education programs, guided walks, and volunteer opportunities, it helps residents and visitors alike learn about the island’s unique plants and wildlife and how to care for them. The Conservancy welcomes everyone who wants to help keep Mayne Island’s natural beauty thriving for generations to come.
